Kislyak praised the prospects of normalization of relations between Russia and the United States
NEW YORK, 3 Aug — RIA Novosti. Despite the fact that relations between Russia and the United States became a victim of the political battles in Washington, the future of them is still there, told reporters in new York, Russia’s Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.
Friday night in new York Sergey Kislyak attended the performance “Red Giselle” ballet theatre of Boris Eifman.
“Bilateral relations have become a victim of the political battles in this country (the USA — ed.). It is a pity that this sacrifice is so easily”, — said the Ambassador after the show.
The way out of the situation, however, is, he said.
“As our President said, we have enough patience we will wait. And when the United States will be willing to work with us seriously on issues that unite us, and to work so that it is consistent with the long-term interests of both Russia and the United States, then surely the relationship will level off,” said Kislyak.
“I’ve been working with the United States and have seen a lot of UPS and downs, and I have, with all the difficulties that we are experiencing nowadays, still have optimism, hope for the future,” the Ambassador added.
