The proposal to create a Council of bloggers at the state Duma Committee on information policy is redundant, said Tuesday the head of the Committee Leonid Levin.
Earlier, RT reported that a member of the Committee for physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Vasily Vlasov (LDPR) proposed to establish a Council of popular bloggers with the Committee on the information policy. According to the Deputy, bloggers could not only to inform the subscribers about the impending in the Duma the bills, but also to participate in the discussion of the initiatives.
“Currently with the Committee on information policy, information technologies and communications actively works Advisory Council, which includes more than 100 people. Among them are those who represents the position of the state bodies, organizations and companies working in the field of Internet, media, various experts, prominent lawyers, experts in the field of IT. In this case, no division by occupation is not, in this connection, the creation of special commissions appears to be excessive,” said Levin, commenting on the proposal Vlasov.
The head of the Committee advised a colleague Vlasov to offer the particular candidates that are subject to the recommendation of the Deputy may be considered in accordance with the existing regulations for inclusion in the composition of the expert Council. At the same time, Levin said that such people in the first place, should be competent, professional and useful for legislative work.
“Today, the Committee and the State Duma as a whole, is guided by the principles of openness. Currently, any blogger, even if he is not a member of the Advisory Board, may apply to the Committee directly to voice their position on a particular bill. This opinion will be taken into account”, — concluded the head of the Committee.
