The public chamber has decided to reduce the distance between officials and activists

The Russian public chamber (OP) intends to help regional authorities to establish constructive dialogue with the civil society institutions. This was told by a member OP Valery Fadeev in his interview with “Tape.ru” on Friday, may 26.

According to him, the number of regions the distance between officials, institutions of state regional authorities and the activists is too great. In this case, said Fadeyev, the institutions of civil society can “very seriously to help the development of regions and cities”. “Our goal is to help such cooperation”, — he said.

Activities aimed at achieving this goal have already taken place in Veliky Novgorod and Ryazan, noted social activist: “In Ryazan were two local activists who quite harshly criticized the urban development policy of Ryazan. All three hours the event was attended by acting Governor Nikolai Lyubimov, and he takes it very seriously, listened to the viewpoint that in many Russian cities was considered to be too sharp”.

Fadeev added that the work in this direction will be OP of the next convocation “methodical, regular”.

May 25 in Ryazan held a round table under the slogan “#STONETECH”. The theme of the forum was “the Participation of citizens in the development of the urban environment.”

On 11 April, the Governor of the Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin at the round table “Assembly bell” said that the formation of the urban environment without the involvement of civil society is impossible. The event was attended by more than 150 activists from all over the Novgorod region.
