In Bangladesh arrested 27 suspected gays

In Bangladesh arrested 27 people suspected of homosexuality. On Friday, may 19, reports The Independent.

It is noted that most of the detainees are students aged 20 to 30 years, traveling the country. They were arrested in Keraniganj, located near the capital of Dhaka.

The police said that the men were in possession of drugs and condoms. However, due to the fact that at the moment of detention they indulged in amorous pleasures, they can blame only in possession of illegal drugs.

Homosexuality is a criminal offense in the Muslim country Bangladesh, which is punishable by life imprisonment, according to Deutsche Welle. Local LGBT activists have repeatedly urged the government to decriminalize same-sex relations, but the authorities refuse to do.
