Brazilian low-cost airline was allowed to use a selfie instead of a passport
Brazilian low cost carrier Gol has allowed its customers to use a selfie for your passport to check in for a flight. The airline has created a special application for Selfie Gol Check-In. As reported by IDGNOW, the service will be available to passengers in June.
It is assumed that the facial recognition technology will allow passengers to save time, abandoning the procedure of entering the passport data. It is noted that the service will work on domestic and international flights.
Gol previously allowed to check in for the flight via private messages on Twitter. In addition, passengers can go through this procedure via the airline’s website, as well as with applications for computers, phones and tablets.
