This was stated by the head of Polish diplomacy Witold Waszczykowski after a meeting of the Council of foreign Ministers of the EU, reports RIA Novosti.
“I confirm that the conversation on this subject was,” said the Minister, adding that the debate in this issue is about. He explained that the diplomats agreed that since the Minsk agreement are not met, the majority of the speakers on this question “strongly advocated that the use of sanctions is necessary to continue”
Member States of the European Union, USA and several other countries have introduced restrictive measures against Russia in 2014 and linking them with entry into the Russian Federation of the Crimea, and then — with the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine. In response, Moscow imposed a ban on food exports from most countries, which supported anti-Russian sanctions.
The abolition of restrictive measures Western countries linked to the implementation by Moscow of Minsk agreements — a package of measures to stabilize the situation in the South-East of Ukraine. Russia has repeatedly said that is not a party to the conflict, the responsibility for the implementation of the agreements lies on the Kiev authorities and the procedure for the reunification of the Crimea is fully consistent with international norms.
