Earlier, the international Committee of the red cross (ICRC) reported that victims of a cholera outbreak in Yemen since the end of April of the current year were 115 people. The representative of the ICRC Dominique Stillhart said that the authorities recorded more than 8.5 thousand cases of infection in 14 governorates.

The Ministry of health of Yemen called on humanitarian organizations to provide assistance to combat the epidemic to avoid an “unprecedented disaster”, said Reuters. As reported by the Yemeni Saba Agency, the health care system in the country greatly suffered because of the conflict going on in Yemen for several years, and can not cope with the problem.

The Yemeni authorities first reported the outbreak in October 2016. According to who, in areas where high risk of infection, there are about 7.6 million people.
