SHANGHAI, may 14. /Offset. TASS Ivan Kargapoltsev/. China managed to detain the suspect in the plundering of an ancient tomb in Central Hubei province, committed 23 years ago.
This was reported today the Agency “Xinhua” with reference to the Department of public security of the province.
Police found the whereabouts of Li Yihai in may of this year. The suspect was detained last week in the southern Chinese province of Hainan.
The man suspected in the fact that in March 1994, he participated in the looting of one of the 300 ancient tombs Jishan County, Hubei province, from which was stolen the remains of a woman and other important artifacts. The age of the looted tomb was about 2.4 thousand years.
The police managed to detain hot on the trail of 23 suspects and return stolen more than 20 values, but If the Yihai then managed to evade justice.
