Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced that flights between Russia and Ukraine will be restored only after the “return” of the Kuban under the control of Kiev. The official said in an interview “RBC-Ukraine”.
“I think that we will restore air links with Russia only after the return of the Crimea, East of Ukraine and, I hope, Kuban and other Ukrainian territories that were captured by Russia at the time,” said Omeljan. Details the “capture” of Russia, these regions, he said.
Ukrainian officials is not the first time declare territorial claims to Moscow. In June 2016 zhebrivskyi said that Ukraine should return to “their” land in Russia. “Sooner or later we must return the native Ukrainian land — Kurschinu, Bryansk, Voronichin, Rostopshina and Krasnodar Krai. This is where there is the Ukrainian nature, Ukrainian mentality,” said zhebrivskyi. He also added that the talk about the fact that the Kiev authorities will leave the Donbass, is unacceptable.
