In the video you can see that the man approached the ostrich, then the bird, apparently sensing a threat, attacked him and threw him on the ground. People nearby were able to frighten the ostrich, and he ran away.
In the comments under the video says that the victim’s name is Tina van Wyk. He grew up on a sheep farm in the South African town of Brakpan.
No serious injuries the man received. “I landed on a thorn Bush and was all scratched up, but other than that, I, fortunately, was fine,” said van Wyk.
