In Egypt called All Inclusive is bad for tourism
The Egyptian tourism Federation (ETF) called the format of the rest “all inclusive” is bad for the country. In particular, All Inclusive leads to lower quality of services and hinders the development of resort regions. The system reduces the earnings of local businesses — taxi drivers, owners of cafes, restaurants and shops.
Reported by the Association of tour operators of Russia.
According to the head of ETF Karim Mohsen, upon availability of the hotel system “all inclusive” traveler there is no need to leave the territory of the hotel, which affects the rest of the tourist infrastructure, and reduces earnings of local businesses — taxi drivers, owners of cafes, restaurants and shops.
“As to the quality of services provided in tourist facilities and hotels, I believe that the government should set strict rules in this area and to monitor their implementation. Another measure is lowering the rating of the hotels that offer all-inclusive packages”, — he said.
Mohsen added that the prices for accommodation in hotels working in All Inclusive, is to raise.
According to the ETF, Egypt in 2017 can only count on 30-percentage growth of tourist arrivals compared with the year 2016, if flights from the UK will not resume. While last year the country was visited by 5.4 million tourists (40 percent less than in 2015).
In autumn 2015 the aircraft on Board of which there were 224 people (mostly Russians), crashed in the Sinai Peninsula in the attack. In this regard, Moscow has suspended direct flights between the countries and demanded to strengthen security measures in the air harbors of Egypt. In 2016, the Russian experts repeatedly visited the state to inspect all airports.
