The owner of a lioness at the end of April attacked the teenager in the city of Engels (Saratov region), will be fined. On Wednesday, may 3, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the representative of the regional Prosecutor’s office.
According to him, the owner of the animal will be attracted to administrative responsibility according to part 1 of article 10.6 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation (“Infringement of rules of quarantine of animal or other veterinarno-sanitary rules”). The amount of the fine will be 800 rubles.
The incident occurred on the evening of April 24 at one of the Central streets of Engels. The lioness, presumably owned by 29-year-old woman, attacked on 15-the summer schoolboy. The victim was hospitalized in the first city hospital with a diagnosis of “bitten wound of the buttocks, thighs and right hand”. The wounds were minor, and after processing the parents on the same day, took the teenager home.
Last year the local press wrote about living in one of the families Engels lioness named Maya. Law enforcement agencies were contacted people, who saw in the street a man was walking a lion on a leash. The owners of the beast gave the police the necessary documents.
Mistress Maya Nora Aroyan claims that her pet was not involved in the incident. “We often call and say that Maya had attacked them. Sometimes, at two in the morning knocking and shouting, they say, Maya is someone nibbles. But this time the lion is in his room. Yes, she walks, right in town. But she behaves calmly,” said the woman.
