The Tver court of Moscow has recognized opposition leader Alexei Navalny guilty of disobeying the lawful demands of police officers and arrested him for 15 days. About it reports TASS.
Navalny was accused of something he didn’t obey the guards at the detention during an inconsistent rally against corruption, which took place on 26 March in the centre of the capital.
Earlier, the court also found the opposition leader guilty of organizing an unsanctioned mass actions and fined 20 thousand rubles. Navalny said at a meeting that they organized a rally is legitimate.
In the Kremlin, in turn, complained that protesters had not used government-proposed alternative sites. In addition, according to the press-Secretary of President Dmitry Peskov, the security forces have evidence that the juveniles in the case of detention of shares promised cash reward.
In the event, according to police, was attended by eight thousand people. More than 500, including Navalny, was detained.
Action contrary to the denial of approval was held on Tverskaya street. The authorities proposed to hold the meeting at alternative venues in Sokolniki and Marino, but the organizers did not agree to this.
