A leisure center for children from 7 to 14 years old with mental disabilities opened in Tatarstan 
The first leisure center for children with mental disorders. This is reported by “Tatar-inform”.
The institution located in Kazan, created with the support of the charitable foundation “In your favor”, will be named “Simurg” in honor of the mythical bird. It is designed for children aged seven to 14.
According to the publication, the head of the Ministry of Culture Irada Ayupova and the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the inclusive center. The mayor noted that the opening of the facility was the beginning of a lot of work.
“If we have created conditions for children with disabilities in sports institutions, then, as far as culture and circles, theater and technology are concerned, all this still needs to be developed … We have taken on a very necessary direction, “Metshin noted.
The premises for the center were donated by the Ministry of Culture of the republic, and the renovation was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan.
On November 28, a charity event took place in Kazan action “Give a paw”. As part of the event, visitors could pick up a pet from the Zoocenter shelter or donate food for other wards in the institution.
