Journalist Portnikov: there is no point in direct negotiations between Zelensky and Putin

Portnikov believes that there is no point in direct negotiations between the heads of state, since Putin does not plan to discuss Crimea and Donbass with Zelensky. According to the journalist, the Russian leader wants to discuss Ukraine not with Zelensky, but with US President Joe Biden.
Earlier, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Batkivshchyna faction Valentin Nalyvaichenko said that Ukraine is not ready for direct dialogue with Russia. He criticized the statement of the President of the Republic, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, about his readiness to negotiate with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and pointed out that such plans must first be coordinated with “international partners.”
