Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman admitted that Ukraine is really forced to buy coal in Russia because of the blockade of Donbass, TASS with reference to interview the policy of the broadcasting company “Radio Freedom”.
“Let’s look at the pros and cons of the blockade. Today we had a major meeting with Ukrainian metallurgists, they say that it is very important to contract the necessary amount of coal, but there are only two sources – either America or Russia,” – he said, adding that the share of metallurgical production accounts for 17 percent of industrial production in the country and 25 percent of foreign exchange earnings.
The Prime Minister also added that to date, the blockade pushes all companies of this sector to the purchase of coal from Russia. The experts noted that for procurement of coal in Europe Kiev-needed foreign loans.
