Such precipitation for Brazil in summer (from late December to end of March) is not uncommon. According to experts, heavy rains are caused by the movement of warm, moist air from the equatorial forests of the Amazon towards the Atlantic Ocean. In January 2020, seasonal rains in southern Brazil killed 66 people. Gerais https://t.co/3eXD1OFbPP
