India has introduced mandatory quarantine upon entry into the country

Previously, quarantine was prescribed only to travelers from countries with a bad epidemic situation.

Tourists must take PCR tests three times: 72 hours before boarding the plane, upon arrival in the country and on the eighth day of quarantine. If the test turns out to be positive, you will need to stay in quarantine or go to the hospital.

According to Johns Hopkins University, India ranks sixth in the incidence of coronavirus in the world. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 35.7 million cases of infection have been detected in the country. More than 483 thousand people died.
