In September, Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Vladimir Primak announced the start of bottling of the Sputnik Lite vaccine in Armenia. He noted that the drug will become available to the public after passing quality control.
“The coronavirus vaccines available in Armenia have been replenished with the Sputnik Light drug, which in Armenia is intended to be used only for vaccination with a booster dose,” the message received by RIA Novosti reads. It is noted that citizens over the age of 18 will be able to get vaccinated with the Sputnik Lite vaccine.
In Armenia, according to the Ministry of Health, as of December 30, 345,126 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed, 7986 people died. As part of the fight against COVID-19, quarantine has been declared in the country until June 20, 2022.
The total population of the republic exceeds 2.9 million people. Moderna, AstraZeneca, CoronaVac, Sinofarm and Sputnik V are vaccinated against COVID-19 in Armenia.
