During the study, the online service analyzed the prices of more than 120 retailers and found out that the price increase by 64 ₽ (in December 2020, salad ingredients cost 389 ₽) is mainly due to the rise in price of fish (herring in oil now costs an average of 162 ₽, +70 ₽), and prices for eggs and vegetables remained at the level of last year:
- a dozen eggs – 71 ₽,
- kg of potatoes – in 83 ₽,
- 500 grams of onion — 15 ₽,
- 500 grams of carrots — 19 ₽,
- a kilogram of beetroot — 35 ₽,
- packaging of mayonnaise — 68 ₽.
According to Rosstat, in October 2021, the average price of another attribute of the New Year’s table — salmon caviar – in retail for the first time exceeded the mark of 5 thousand rubles per 1 kg. According to the agency on December 15, in general, prices in Russia has grown by 7.64% since the beginning of the year.
Trying to bring inflation back to the target of 4%, on December 17, the Central Bank raised the key rate by 100 basis points, to 8.5% per annum.
