The State Duma adopted a law extending the freezing of the funded part of the pension until 2024
The State Duma adopted a law according to which the freezing of the funded part of the pension of Russians is extended until the end of 2024, TASS reports. The financial and economic justification for the document states that the implementation of the bill will reduce the transfer from the federal budget to the budget of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) by 772.9 billion rubles.
The funded pension has been frozen since 2014. In other words, contributions to the funded part of the pension in the amount of 6 percent of wages are sent to the insurance part for payments to current pensioners. Initially, it was assumed that the freeze would be one-time, but since then the rule has been invariably extended.
