The ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos Mackenzie Scott topped the Forbes rating
the world according to Forbes magazine. This is evidenced by the rating published since 2004, which appeared on the website of the publication.
The second place in the rating was taken by the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris, and the third – by the head of the European Central Bank and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde. At the same time, the head of General Motors Company is on the fourth line, and the ex-wife of Bill Gates Melinda closed the top five.
It is noted that the ex-Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel for the first time in 11 years was not included in the list of the most influential women the world. Prior to that, for ten years in a row, she led the top, but dropped out of it after leaving politics. At the same time, Russia is represented on the Forbes list for the fourth year in a row by the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina.
It is known that Forbes compiles its own top based on the fame and economic influence of a person, as well as his social activities. “The main thesis underlying the methodology for compiling the list is not enough to have money or power,” the authors of this list say.
In December, Kim Kardashian was officially recognized as a style icon. The American TV star and businesswoman won the Fashion Icon Award at the 2021 People's Choice Awards. She was honored for her “keen sense of fashion and trends, entrepreneurial success, and one-man transformation of the industry through innovative design and unique style.”
