Former Trump adviser: Biden, to Putin's surprise and dismay, ignores Russia's interests 
US President Joe Biden refuses to compromise. This was stated by a former Pentagon official and adviser to former US President Donald Trump, Colonel Doug McGregor, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, during online talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden presented his stereotyped views formed influenced by the feeling of modern “left” about moral superiority. Trump's ex-adviser noted that the American leader at the same time ignores Moscow's interests to the surprise and dismay of Putin.
In addition, McGregor stressed that in the crisis over Ukraine, Washington has only one interest – to prevent a war between Kiev and Moscow, however, Biden ignores him, since the resolution of the situation would involve a compromise.
The meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States took place on December 7, it lasted two hours and took place via a special video link. The Kremlin said that this line was created during the previous administrations, but today it is being used for the first time. The first footage of the politicians' communication was shown to the journalists, but then the meeting was held in a closed format. The presidents' current contact is the fifth since Biden took office.
