WhatsApp will have a function to automatically delete messages after 24 hours and 90 days With the help of the function, users will be able to delete any text from the chat automatically after a selected period of time. This is reported by The Sun.
The new feature will allow the user to configure the automatic inclusion of disappearing messages for all new chats, without affecting the existing dialogs. There will also be two new durations for disappearing messages: 24 hours and 90 days. Previously, it was possible to set the automatic deletion of a message only seven days after sending. Thus, in total, the user will have three time options – 24 hours, 7 or 90 days. Also, disappearing messages can be omitted.
It is clarified that one user will not be able to delete all correspondence without the knowledge of the chat participants: a message will be displayed warning that after a certain period of time the messages will be deleted. This notification will show how long the texts can be read before they disappear forever.
The new feature is reported to be available from December 6th. However, it is possible that waiting for it to appear could take up to several days.
Earlier in WhatsApp, it became possible to create and edit stickers for correspondence using your own images. To use the built-in sticker editor, you need to click on the paperclip icon in the correspondence and select the “Sticker” option.
