The Hungarian national team has renounced interest in Cherchesov

The Hungarian national team does not consider Stanislav Cherchesov for the post of head coach of the team This is reported by Sport24.

Press officer of the Hungarian team Gerge Szabo claims that 58-year-old Cherchesov is not considered a candidate for the post of head coach. Earlier, a number of media outlets announced that the Hungarian national team could be headed by a former coach of the Russian national team.

On December 4, it was reported that the Belgian Antwerp was interested in Cherchesov. The club is ready to offer the Russian a salary of 1.2 million euros per year.

In November it was reported that the Polish national team was showing interest in Cherchesov. It is this team that will become the rival of the national team in the play-off for the right to participate in the 2022 World Cup.

Cherchesov left the post of head coach of the Russian national team in the summer after the European Championship. At the tournament, the Russians failed to overcome the group stage.
