S7: the crew of the plane flying from Magadan to Novosibirsk was suspended from flights

The crew of the Russian airline S7, flying from Magadan to Novosibirsk , suspended from flights during the investigation of the incident with an emergency landing in Irkutsk. This is reported by TASS with reference to the airline's press service.

“This is a standard procedure when investigating such incidents,” the press service noted and added that control over the ground handling of airliners at Magadan airport will be tightened.

Earlier on December 6, it was reported that the Federal Air Transport Agency will investigate the incident with the icing of the S7 aircraft. Anvar Shaikamalov, head of the flight safety inspection department of the Federal Air Transport Agency, was appointed chairman of the commission. The department will carry out mathematical modeling of the situation due to which the aircraft almost crashed, and an analysis of the quality of the liner de-icing.

On December 2, an S7 plane, en route from Magadan to Novosibirsk, made an emergency landing in Irkutsk after icing engines.
