Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that agreements, signed on December 6 with Russia will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The head of the Indian government spoke about this on the sidelines of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in New Delhi. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
“The agreements concluded today in various fields will also help us and strengthen our cooperation. Our defense cooperation is strengthened through joint development and joint production within the framework of the Made in India program “, – said the Prime Minister of India.
Modi also noted that the agreements approved at the meeting with President Putin strengthen and expand India's cooperation and Russia in the fields of nuclear energy and the development of space programs of both countries. He also praised the discussions with the Russian leader for both countries.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to India Nikolai Kudashev announced a large-scale joint statement to be made following the meeting between Putin and Modi. According to him, the statement will reflect the directions of international cooperation, the UN agenda, the issues of reforming this organization and the settlement of regional conflicts.
