Deprived of immunity, Rashkin arrived for the first interrogation

State Duma Deputy Rashkin arrived for the first interrogation in the Investigative Committee on the case of illegal elk hunting the first interrogation by the Investigative Committee (IC), writes RIA Novosti.

It is noted that at about two o'clock in the afternoon the deputy entered the central building of the department in the Technical Lane in Moscow. He did not answer journalists' questions.

On December 2, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, opened a criminal case against Rashkin under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal hunting”).

According to the information investigation, on the night of October 28-29, the deputy, together with his friends, hunted an elk, without having permission to do so. After killing the animal, they hid the weapon, butchered the carcass and put it in the trunk. There the prey was found by the police and the hunting committee of the Saratov region, who stopped the deputy's car.

On November 25, State Duma deputies voted to deprive Rashkin of immunity. At first, the politician claimed that he had found the carcass in the forest, but later confessed to killing the animal.
