Apple sues FAS Russia

The American company Apple has filed a counterclaim against the FAS Russia

The American company Apple has filed a counterclaim against the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) follows from the case card on the website of the Moscow Arbitration Court.

The Corporation faces a turnover fine on the amount of revenue in the market, so it is thus challenging the FAS requirement to inform App Store buyers about alternative payment methods.

On October 27, the Federal Antimonopoly Service filed a lawsuit against Apple over a ban on informing purchasers of applications in the App Store about the possibility of paying for purchases in other ways. The company takes a commission from 15 to 30 percent from each payment. Users cannot be informed about the possibility of purchases outside the App Store, emphasized in the FAS.
