Reuters: Russian and US presidents Putin and Biden will discuss Ukraine and a range of other issues

Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss with his American counterpart Joe Biden Ukraine and a wide range of other issues. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the White House.

According to the agency, the talks between the leaders of the two countries will take place via a secure video link on December 7. Biden plans to highlight concerns about Russian military activities on the border with Ukraine, as well as highlight the US commitment to Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Earlier in December, Biden said he hoped to have a long conversation with Putin. “We have known about Russia's actions for a long time. I expect that we will have a long conversation with Putin, “the American leader said, referring to the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Biden would announce to Putin that Washington is willing to establish stable relations with Moscow. “I think that when they speak, the President will set out our serious commitment to greater predictability and stability in our relationship,” he said.
