One of the tourists said that a police officer had arrived at the airport. According to the Russian, all people are ready to undergo additional PCR tests to be released.

Mandatory 14-day quarantine for those arriving from the Republic of South Africa and neighboring countries was introduced in Russia on December 2. The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that there are not many tourists who should go to self-isolation. Rostourism reports that several hundred Russians are in South Africa.

A new strain of coronavirus under the code B.1.1.529 was detected in South Africa on November 11, isolated cases were also recorded in Japan, Canada, Spain, Sweden, Egypt, Austria and other countries.
