Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova expressed condolences to the actress on cinema of Nina Urgant, noted that she was a wonderful artist, and called her death a huge loss. The words of the head of the Ministry of Culture are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Unique talent, dedication to her chosen work and charm allowed Nina Nikolaevna to find her unique path in art. Her stage works are interesting, distinctive and recognizable, and the films have enriched the gold fund of the national cinema, ”said Lyubimova.

The death of Nina Urgant became known earlier on Friday, December 3. The actress died at her home in St. Petersburg. In the last years of her life she suffered from Parkinson's disease.

Nina Urgant was a People's Artist of the RSFSR. She starred in the films Belorussky Station, Magic Power, I Come From Childhood, Handsome Man, Sons Go to Battle, Prize and Tiger Tamer.
