The rapid test he took at the airport reportedly was negative. However, the very next day, he showed mild symptoms. The man did rapid tests every day; on November 29, the test was positive. Then a PCR test was performed. In connection with the suspicion of infection with the omicron strain, a study was carried out, which confirmed it.
“His condition is good, he has no serious symptoms. He is at home in quarantine. Both his relatives and those who flew next to him on an airplane from South Africa have been quarantined. -strain in people in contact with an infected entrepreneur.
Earlier, Scientists from South Africa warned based on the results of joint research that the omicron-strain of coronavirus is three times more infectious for people who have previously had COVID-19 than previous options.
