Moldova has promised to regularly pay Russia for gas

Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Spinu: Moldovagaz will no longer accept debts to Gazprom

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Andrei Spynu promised that the country will regularly pay Russia for gas, Moldovagaz will no longer allow debts to Gazprom, which could lead to warnings about the shutdown. His words are quoted by TASS.

Spinu noted that part of the payments for November were sent ahead of schedule, and soon there will be payment for December. In addition, the Moldovan gas company has the necessary subsidies from the state.

“I don’t think that such a situation can arise again. I am in constant contact with Moldovagaz on this issue. “Moldovagaz” takes into account the risks of non-payment by the population, “the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

On November 22, Gazprom warned Moldova that it would stop gas supplies if the republic did not pay the debt for October and November within 48 hours … As a result, the payment was postponed until November 26, at the same time the debt was repaid. Moldovagaz was unable to find a commercial solution to pay the debt, which is why the government needed help. The company had no money, as it bought gas at a price of $ 790 per thousand cubic meters, and the tariff included a much lower amount.
