On November 30, Chimaev challenged Brock Lesnard, Georges Saint-Pierre and Daniel Cormier. He called the fighters legends and promised to beat each of them. Chimaev is a native of Chechnya. He left Russia at the age of 19 when his family moved to Sweden.
