Russians wanted to write off tax debts without trial

The Supreme Court proposed to collect tax debts from citizens out of court

The Supreme Court of Russia has prepared a bill proposing okay. This was announced by the chairman of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev at a meeting of the Council of Judges, writes RIA Novosti.

According to the document, debtors will be able to send a written objection to the tax authority within a month from the date of receipt of the decision to collect the debt. In this case, the collection can only be carried out in court.

As Lebedev said, in the first nine months of this year, justices of the peace considered two million cases on the issuance of court orders for the collection of tax debts from individuals. Debtors wanted to raise objections only five percent of the time. Now it is possible to withdraw money without a trial from non-payers from among legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

In mid-October, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the personal income tax (PIT) in Russia would not change in the next three years. The increase will not affect wealthy Russians, despite their recent rise in income. According to the minister, with an increase in the tax burden, the richest citizens can choose more profitable options and become tax residents of Belarus or Kazakhstan.
