The Russians won with a total score of 2-0. First, Andrei Rublev defeated Elias Imer – 6: 2, 5: 7, 7: 6, and then Daniil Medvedev – over Mikael Imer (6: 4, 6: 4). In the semifinals, the Russian national team will meet with the Germans. The matches will be held on December 3.
The Russian national team is a two-time winner of the Davis Cup in 2002 and 2006. In the last draw, the Russians reached the semifinals, where they lost to the Canadians.
