On November 18, the National Council of Austria deprived him of his parliamentary immunity.

According to investigators, from 2016 to 2018, the Ministry of Finance of the country used funds from the budget “to finance exclusively party-politically motivated, sometimes manipulated polls conducted by a public opinions in the interests of a political party and its highest official ”. The politician does not admit his guilt and claims that his innocence has already been proven by an independent legal expert.
