A resident of the Voronezh region was detained in the case of the murder of a collector in 1997 area, committed in May 1997. This was reported on the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to 47news, 51-year-old art collector Gary Emelianenko has become a victim of criminals. In his own apartment in the village of Roshchino, they hit him on the head four times with the handle of a noise pistol and strangled him with a rope.
In the same place, the killers found the key to the collector's apartment in St. Petersburg. As a result, paintings, jewelry and other property totaling almost half a billion rubles were stolen from Emelianenko's two dwellings. In particular, the robbers took pictures of the early 19th century painter Alexei Venetsianov, landscape painter Julius Klever, as well as samples of German painting of the 19th century.
One of the criminals was arrested on November 30, 2021. He was charged with murder, robbery, theft and stealing of a passport. The detainee did not admit his guilt.
Earlier, in November, it was reported about the murder of a 66-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, whose remains were found in the Smolenka River. It turned out that the man was killed by his son: he shot his father in the head after a quarrel, dismembered the body with a jigsaw, put it in two bags, tied them to trolleys on wheels and threw them into the river.
