The ex-Communist Party deputy who escaped from the investigation was found in the UK

Former State Duma Deputy Bessonov, declared on the federal wanted list, was found in London … This is reported by the newspaper “Argumenty i Fakty.” In his speech, Bessonov argued that the current leadership of Russia uses Marxist phraseology, and complained about the pressure.

In 2018, the Kirovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don sentenced Bessonov in absentia to three years in a general regime colony for beating police officers.

According to the investigation, in December 2011, Bessonov organized an uncoordinated rally in Rostov-on-Don, in which more than 100 people took part. The police demanded that the organizers stop the action, but the deputy refused. Then the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs tried to turn off the sound-amplifying equipment, in response the protesters, including Bessonov, staged a fight with them.

In December 2015, Bessonov sent a request to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, to verify the information of the Fund for Combating corruption ( FBK, included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia ) on the alleged illegal activities of the sons of the former Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika.
