Taliban announces end of clashes with border guards on Iranian border

Taliban spokesman Karimi announced the end of fighting with Iranian border guards

Taliban spokesman (terrorist organization) Bilal Karimi announced that clashes between the Taliban and Iranian border guards in Nimroz province on the border of Afghanistan and Iran have ended. He reported this to the Tolo News TV channel.

Karimi noted that no one was killed as a result of the fighting. The Taliban spokesman did not disclose the reasons for the conflict.

Earlier, Aamaj News reported that Taliban fighters seized two Iranian checkpoints as a result of fighting with the Iranian military. Taliban forces took control of the Dost Mohammad and Bala Sia Cheshman checkpoints. The agency also reported that the fighting between Iranian border guards and the Taliban was fierce. The footage from the scene shows how opponents are using artillery against each other.

However, the Iranian side reported to the publication that the news of the seizure of two Iranian checkpoints by the Taliban is a lie. Iranian media reported that the Taliban attack was repulsed and the checkpoints were again taken under Iranian control.
