In the state Duma suggested to be calls for the imposition of new sanctions.
MOSCOW, may 23 — RIA Novosti. First Deputy head of the faction “United Russia” Andrei Isayev told about the idea to translate the incitement to the introduction of sanctions against the Russian Federation of high treason.
“There is a view that the composition (incitement to sanctions against Russia) must be in treason, there are more serious sanctions. But this is only one idea that sounded”, — Isayev said to journalists after a meeting of the Council on lawmaking in the state Duma, which discussed the draft law on the responsibility for compliance with Western sanctions on Russia.
The draft law provides for punishment of imprisonment for a term not exceeding four years or fines of up to 600 thousand rubles. The document also provides for punishment for the Russians, who contribute to the introduction of restrictive measures against Russia, in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to 3 years and fines up to 500 thousand rubles.
The state Duma on Thursday postponed consideration of the project on the punishment for the execution of sanctions of the West in Russia in the second reading for further consultations. On Monday, the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that the MPs will continue work on the bill, having considered all proposals of the business and expert circles.
