Held in Moscow on Friday, June 30th, rain has set a record for June rainfall. About it reports hydrometeorological center of Russia.
“Rain 30 Jun brought 65 mm (precipitation) and two records: he was the strongest for 30 June on record in Moscow and strongest June in General”, — reported in Hydrometeorological center.
Also there pointed out that ended in June was the second month for humidity in the entire history of observations at the meteorological station ENEA. According to preliminary data, the average temperature is subnormal, a little more than two degrees.
In total for June 30 at the weather station VDNKH fell 65 millimeters of precipitation, which is 84 percent of the monthly norm. Very heavy rains were also observed in Sheremetyevo (60 mm), Dolgoprudny (58 millimeters) and in (51 mm), said the weather service.
“Rainfall for June 30 in Moscow — the largest on record, the previous record stood at 22.3 mm and belonged to 1923. The largest daily precipitation total for June was 62.5 mm and was registered in 1970,” concluded the Meteorologist.
Earlier it was reported that the main station in Moscow recorded a loss of 53 millimetres of rain during the storm, which took place on Friday in the Moscow region.
According to unofficial data, as a result of bad weather killed three people.
