Putin and Erdogan discussed by phone the situation in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan the situation in Syria. This was reported on the Kremlin website on Friday, June 30.

“Continue discussion of key aspects of the settlement of the Syrian crisis taking into account convened under the auspices of Russia, Turkey and Iran in early July of the fifth international meeting on Syria in Astana”, — is spoken in the message.

The parties also agreed on further contacts in the near future.

During a telephone conversation, which took place on June 5, Putin discussed with Erdogan the current round of the Qatar situation and issues of bilateral cooperation. In addition, a question was raised about areas of de-escalation in the Syrian Arab Republic.

Personally the two leaders met in early may in Moscow. Then the Russian President and his Turkish counterpart have agreed to withdraw the trade restrictions.
