Eugene Zhirkov

The head of the Balashikha Eugene Zhirkov said that the decision to resign was not easy for him. Relevant post he posted on his page in Facebook on Tuesday, June 27.

Zhirkov noted that the city administration under his leadership together with the people “built kindergartens and schools, planting a forest, to solve the pressing problems”.

“But life sets the tone and poses new challenges. I made the decision to resign,” wrote the official. What prompted his dismissal, he said.

Earlier on Tuesday it became known that the head of the Balashikha written statement of resignation at own will. Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on this information, stressing that the Kremlin does not follow HR solutions on municipal level.

23 Jun Balashikha stopped the work of the municipal solid waste (MSW) “Kuchino”. It happened on the next day after Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded to close the landfill, on which he complained to the residents of the urban district in a straight line. On the same day, the Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov instructed the subordinates to close the polygon.

Eugene Zhirkov headed the administration of the Balashikha in 2014.
