MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. The extension of the EU anti-Russian sanctions due to the failure of the Minsk agreements is absurd, according to the Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky.

“The wording [of the President of the European Council Donald] Tusk, “the lack of implementation of the Minsk agreements” is absurd and only causes bewilderment,” said Slutsky reporters on Thursday.

According to him, Russia was “tired of repeating” that is not a party to the Minsk agreement, neither the conflict in Ukraine. “However, the EU continues to ignore the true state of things and prefers not to respond to blatant sabotage by Kiev, the implementation of the “Minsk-2″. The notorious double standard, and again to the detriment of themselves,” – said the head of the Committee.
