Doctors performed a spinal surgery on the Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the regional administration on Wednesday, June 21.

The day before that Tuleyev had surgery on the spine, said the Deputy of the state Duma from the Kemerovo region Anton Gorelkin. “The operation was successful, now he is recovering”, — quotes the parliamentarian TASS. According Gorelkina, the head of the region plans to return to work after two weeks.
The head of Novokuznetsk Sergey Kuznetsov on his page “Vkontakte” disproved hearings about a serious illness Tuleyev, calling them “dirty media campaign” against him.

Tuleyev for the first time topped the Kemerovo region in 1997. In September 2015 he was elected head of the region for the fifth time, gaining more than 96 percent of the votes. It is the oldest Russian Governor.
