The Ministry of Finance of Germany: the United States should not allow Russia and China to dominate
MOSCOW, 21 Feb — RIA Novosti. German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said that if the US gave Russia and China the freedom of domination in their spheres of influence, it would be the end of the liberal world order.
The Minister doubts that Washington really believe that the world order will be as sustainable if China and Russia would be allowed somewhere to replace the US and dominate their spheres of influence.
“It would be the end of our liberal world order. This order is still the best of all possible worlds for ethical, political and economic reasons. And we want this order continued. At least, we don’t want to see it weakened him”, — quotes Reuters the words of schäuble.
He also said that Europe should assume greater responsibility to protect the liberal and democratic world order, as United States shown in this question and less inclination.
“We have to improve our cooperation, we must rely on our mutual trust,” — said the Minister. He added that the need to adhere to their values.
According to Schaeuble, the main problems in the world, such as climate change, international terrorism and migration, can be solved by close cooperation of countries. “If the USA begins with doubt to take his role of guardian of world order, as we have already seen hints of this in recent years, I’d look at it as a call to action, aimed at Europe, including Germany,” said the Minister.
