The General Council of “United Russia” on Sunday to discuss preparations for the upcoming regional election campaign and adopt their candidates for the by-elections to the state Duma.
“The eighteenth of June in the CEC (Central Executive Committee) of the “United Russia” held a meeting of the General Council of the party, which is a permanently acting managing collegial body,” — said the press service.
The meeting will discuss the results of the preliminary vote, which was held in may, “as well as the first results of work after a restart of the project activities of the party.”
“Also will vote on the approval of candidates for elections to the State Duma,” — said the press service.
A preliminary vote of the EP in the selection of candidates for regional elections held may 28. Now United Russia will have to approve the candidacy of those who will take part in regional elections, including in the elections.
Primary elections took place, including, in the Kingisepp district (Leningrad oblast), which won the regional Vice-Premier Sergey yakhnyuk. Last week Russia’s Central election Commission has appointed additional elections to the state Duma on one-mandatory district Kingisepp on September 10 — a single day of voting.
