In the Kremlin considered inappropriate “race” with Poroshenko for a meeting with trump
MOSCOW, 20 Jun — RIA Novosti. Moscow is not going to have a race with Kiev in the issue of the meeting with the US President Donald trump, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
Talks Donald trump and Petro Poroshenko will be in Washington on Tuesday. Commenting on the upcoming meeting, the Ukrainian leader said it was important that the US President will take it earlier than Putin.
“We do not believe that it is appropriate to arrange some kind of race. Information about the real situation with the Ukrainian settlement in Washington are well known, and, if desired, in Washington can easily see all details of the obligations that lie on Kiev in accordance with the signed in Minsk agreement,” — said Peskov.
According to him, to comment on possible contact between the presidents of the United States and of Ukraine in Kiev.
“That’s not our concern”, — said the representative of the Kremlin.
Peskov expressed hope that the US will send to Kiev a “powerful signal” about the need to respect the Minsk agreements.
